OUR four phases
Novom Group’s Four-Phase Process is utilized on every project from Interiors Projects to Historic Renovations, ensuring a CONSISTENT, SUCCESsFUL OUTCOME
We are specialists who focus on low voltage technology applications for all building types and refer anything high voltage to the Electrician to include in their plan. We are consultants who assess objectives, analyze concerns, and find solutions to eliminate pain points for designers, contractors, and clients. Our four-phase process, including the Novom Playbook, reduces the need to price-in risk and enables us and our partners to compete effectively and grow.
PHASE ONE
PROGRAMMING & BUDGET
Our process starts with the Playbook, a high-level design that documents our approach and scope. The Playbook defines all programmatic requirements and client needs and helps ensure that all parties agree with the technology vision for the project. The budget summarizes costs for the low voltage systems identified in the Playbook, with vendor validations that keep final budget figures accurate to plus or minus 5-10%.
PHASE Two
TECHNOLOGY DRAWINGS
Upon approval of the Playbook and budget, Novom will develop technology plans and specifications. The objective of these design documents is twofold: 1) to coordinate power, cooling, layout and details with the architectural and engineering teams, and 2) to serve as the basis for the installation vendors’ scopes of work (SOWs) and requests for proposals (RFPs).
PHASE THREE
ONBOARDING INTEGRATORS
On behalf of the Owner, we will issue and manage the “for construction” low voltage design documents to recommended vendors for pricing, including bidding and negotiation. The deliverables of this phase are contracted vendors for each low voltage scope.
PHASE Four
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
Novom will attend applicable construction meetings, review low voltage vendor submittal data, respond to Requests for Information (RFIs), perform milestone site reviews and conduct a low voltage system punch list assessment.
